Dress freak out, shoes and more!

So a few days ago I had a wedding dress freak out. I looked at all of these ladies dresses on the forum I go on and it got very overwhelming when in reality it was my fault, I know. I just cant help it! I never thought id be into dresses even for my wedding. I really figured wow they ladies are crazy Im never getting that nutso! Yeah. Right. Totally didnt happen that way. Well atleast i can tell my children I experienced every little freak out regards to weddings, right? Right! (This is a woman who is clearly wants to just say that in order to make herself feel better.) Well, No more freaking out over my dress! Ive come to realize I choes the right dress, it made me feel amazing, and thats final! I am still looking and pretty dresses dont get me wrong, but when I look I just see pretty dresses not "aww i wish i tried that one on!" which is a NICE change. My dress is gorgeous... I miss it. It sucks too because its not just down the street or a drive away... Its over the puget sound! meaning its a drive, boat ride, and another ride to my dress. *Sigh* Itll be okay though because the wedding is LESS THEN 3 MONTHS AWAY! Im so excited, and freaked out at the same time. Not freaked out because Im afraid of commitment or anything like that, im freaked because I am hoping my vision for the wedding actually comes true. With so many details, so many things can go wrong...I am feeling freaked out just thinking about it! What makes me feel better though is that my fiance will be at the end of the garden, waiting for me to be his wife, and waiting to see what amazing dress Im in! Nope, he has no idea what kind of dress i have, all he knows is that its Ivory. No ivory wasnt my first choice BUT how can i say no just because its off white when it a) Fit me like it was made for me, b) had a corset back like i wanted, and c) was on sale for half of what i wanted to spend! Its funny because i was worried about it being ivory in the beginning, but now it seems that its fitting everything. Our venue, ivory shirt looks better on shawn, and it has the old world feeling we are going for. My oh my i love fate!

On another note, we have decided on cake. We want a banana layer, and 2 chocolate layers from Mikes Amazing Cakes. We are going to get it simple buttercream with a border of ribbon and buy some of these edible butterflies to put on the cake. I found them on etsy and figured i can pay double the price of the cake (about 200$) to have the baker make them all hand made OR buy 20 for 8 bucks on etsy! Great savings, i love it. Also the cake will be square, and we will be renting a silver square base. Butterflies will be all throughout our wedding, in my boquet, bridesmaid boquet, centerpeices, etc. Surprisingly enough, that idea came from shawn. Me being a girl.. iwas all over the idea of butterflies! They are graceful and beautiful, i love it.

We also picked out an AMAZING photographer! Her name is stephanie and she is amazing. her personality and her work are even more amazing! I cannot wait to put down the deposit with her, and i cannot wait to work with her.

As for centerpeices, we have decided to take out one thing we were sure we would have in he wedding no matter what: Submerged flowers. We spend these past months so sure of having it and came to the realization that it was a waste of 100-150 dollars when the venue provides gorgeous crystal centerpeices that go with our theme! Of course im already thinking of ways to personalize them like with lights under the crystal to shine up through and make it gorgeous looking, and putting some butterflies in the fake boquet of roses they put in them. So many possibilities...

This week im going to be focusing on finishing up our invitations (which we have been pushing due to us being incredible lazy), finding shoes for my wedding dress that way i can bring them to the fitting, waiting for my aqua napkins to arrive, booking an appt with a florist, and other little things on my long list of things to do. Thank you theknot.com for reminding me how behind i am and how much more i have to do... *cry*

Above are some pictures of the venue reception hall with the centerpeices they provide for those who are nosey, and a picture of our invitations... why am i so proud of them? Well these invitations normally run 2-5 dollars per invite... how much did mine cost? $7.50. No not for one, for 40!! Which is just a little over what i needed. It included invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, everything that shows in the pic! I about fell over when i found them at tj max. I love bargains but that was a total STEAL! All i have to do is pay 10 bucks for ups to print them out all pretty for me. Alright, enough for tonight my fingers are starting to stiffin lol gnite all!
